MediaTek X’tra Speed Mesh uses the best-on-market Filogic 680 Wi-Fi 7 Multi-Link-Operation (MLO), coupled with the MediaTek EasyMesh framework, elevating Wi-Fi Mesh to an unprecedented quality of experience.
The key attributes of MediaTek X’tra Speed Mesh are:
MediaTek offers the only solution on the market allowing Mesh to operate backhaul over all 3 Wi-Fi bands 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz simultaneously, with a minimum of 4 antennas in each band for unparalleled coverage. Backhaul is the essential superhighway distributing traffic from one Mesh node to another before delivery to all devices. MediaTek Mesh backhaul reaches a whopping 15Gbps TCP speed, which is 80% more than any other Wi-Fi 7 Mesh system. BOOST can also reduce latency over Mesh network by two-thirds compared to other Wi-Fi 7 Mesh solutions.
the Mesh controller sets the Spatial Reuse feature on each Mesh node, so they transmit just at the right output power not to interfere with each other. This results in a 20% performance gain with 3 or more nodes in home.
When a Mesh backhaul becomes inactive, the 3-band MLO superhighway can be scaled back to a single 1x1 link in the 2.4 GHz band, maintaining backhaul connectivity with maximal reach at minimal power consumption. This Green-AP mode can be activated independently on each backhaul link, allowing one branch of the network to remain at full performance while another conserves energy due to reduced traffic. With Green-AP, a complete Mesh network can save up to 50% power in Standby Mode.
Devices run ever more latency critical applications in the home network, including Virtual and Augmented reality, high-definition gaming, and multiple Generative AI queries to the Internet, MediaTek X’tra Speed Mesh consistently support your devices with these demands, all while maintaining low energy consumption.
